About CalcNest
CalcNest started as a family planning worksheet and grew into a practical set of calculators for people who want quick, understandable estimates before making bigger financial decisions.
Welcome to CalcNest. My name is Anjula Tiwari, and I live in Bangalore with my husband and our two children. Like many families, we often discussed future goals such as education, retirement, and the freedom to live with less money stress.
Those questions first became an Excel sheet for our own planning. It helped us estimate future expenses, review current investments, and understand year-wise projections in one place.
As the worksheet became useful for friends and family, CalcNest took shape as a public platform. What began as a personal planning model now includes calculators for SIP, lump sum investing, retirement planning, loans, health, and goal-based estimates.
Our goal is to make calculations approachable. We keep tools lightweight, explain assumptions clearly, and give users a practical starting point for conversations with qualified advisers.
CalcNest focuses on practical online calculators for Indian families, salaried professionals, investors, students, and households comparing everyday money decisions. Popular tools include the SIP calculator, retirement planning calculator, home loan EMI calculator, NPS calculator, PPF calculator, CAGR calculator, XIRR calculator, and inflation calculator.
Each calculator is designed to answer a specific search intent: how much to invest monthly, how loan EMI changes with tenure, how inflation affects future expenses, how SIP and lump sum returns differ, and how much retirement corpus may be needed for long-term financial independence.
Calculators are designed to be easy to use without sign-up or complex setup.
Results are estimates for education and planning, not professional financial advice.

CalcNest calculator pages are prepared and reviewed by the CalcNest Editorial Team for formula clarity, practical assumptions, and plain-language explanations. We document important limitations and update pages when calculator logic, examples, or planning context can be made clearer.
